1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Img2WebP. By accessing or using our website, tools, and services at https://img2webp.com (the "Site"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or tools.

These Terms govern your use of the Site and all tools, contents, services, features, and resources provided through it. We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

By using this Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you may only use this Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. If you are using our services on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. User Responsibilities

As a condition of your use of the Site, you agree that you are solely responsible for your conduct and for any files, images, data, or content you process through our WebP conversion tool.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and convert the images you upload.
• Your use of our tools does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or legal rights of any third party.
• You will not upload or process any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Img2WebP, its owner Mohammed Saqib, and its contributors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms.

This indemnification obligation includes defending us against any third-party claims, lawsuits, or demands alleging that images processed by you infringe upon copyright, trademark, trade secret, or privacy rights. You agree to cover all associated legal fees, settlement costs, and court awards incurred by us as a result of such claims. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.

3. Acceptable Use

Img2WebP is provided as a free tool for web developers, designers, and site owners to convert images. You agree to use the Site only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.

You agree not to:

1. Use any automated system, software, or bot (such as spiders, scrapers, or scripts) to access, monitor, or extract data from the Site without our prior written permission.
Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with any security features of the Site or our conversion tool.
2. Introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other harmful materials to the Site.
Use our tool to process files in a way that unreasonably overburdens the Site's hosting infrastructure (though processing runs locally in your browser, server hits should be within normal usage).
3. Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on our Site's HTML, CSS, or JavaScript code.

We reserve the right to suspend or block your access to the Site if we suspect, in our sole discretion, that you are violating these Terms or engaging in unauthorized activities.

Additionally, you agree not to use the Site to distribute unsolicited promotional materials (spam) or host unauthorized ad scripts. Any attempt to scrape our blog articles or content for redistribution without proper attribution is prohibited.

4. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, layout, design, text, CSS styling, custom scripts, graphics, and logo are the exclusive property of Img2WebP and its founder Mohammed Saqib. They are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site and its tools for personal or commercial web development purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of our intellectual property without our express written permission.

Your Content: We claim no ownership over the images you upload to our tool. Because the conversion runs locally in your browser, we do not store, copy, or distribute your images. You retain full ownership and intellectual property rights to your original and converted files.

The trademarks, service marks, logos, and brand names of Img2WebP displayed on the Site are registered or unregistered trademarks of Mohammed Saqib. Nothing on this Site should be construed as granting any license or right to use any trademark without our prior written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability

Img2WebP is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Img2WebP and its founder Mohammed Saqib shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages.

This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, use, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its tools.
• Any file corruption, data loss, or browser crashes caused by our local conversion engine.
• Any modifications, suspension, or discontinuation of the Site or its services.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your files or data.
• Any third-party links, advertisements, or services displayed on the Site.

We do not warrant that the conversion engine will meet your expectations or that the output files will be compatible with all browser and server environments. It is your responsibility to test and verify the output files before using them in production.

This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage. If some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, our liability in those jurisdictions will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the owner of the Site operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the appropriate courts of the governing jurisdiction. If arbitration is selected, it shall be administered by a recognized arbitration association in accordance with its commercial arbitration rules, and any judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. Furthermore, you agree that any legal action or arbitration arising out of or relating to these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action arose; otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial for any legal dispute arising from your use of the Site.

7. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be replaced by a valid provision that matches the intent of the original term as closely as possible.

8. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Img2WebP regarding your use of the Site, superseding any prior agreements or understandings between us. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. This agreement binds both parties, their respective heirs, successors, and permitted assigns.
